Our Stories. Our Heritage.

The Whatcom Maritime Heritage Museum is run by volunteers from your community, and we all have stories to tell. Those stories, whether they be from pre-settler contact or post, have shaped our maritime heritage and built our Whatcom way of life.

This dedicated group of volunteers seeks to preserve those stories, and share them with present and future generations to retain our connection to this most-storied part of our region - the Salish Sea.

The volunteer Board-of-Directors is always looking for more people who want to help with this endeavor, and we encourage you to contact us if you’re interested in helping out!
